About Us

Habitat 4 Paws was founded and received 501c3 status in December of 2010. During 2011, we began fundraising for our medical care fund and launched Paws Pantry, a pet food bank to help other shelters, rescue groups and individuals in need of food for pets. In the spring of 2012, we launched the foster program with a handful of fosters and began rescuing pets from local animal control facilities. We placed 46 rescued animals in homes during 2012, and have continued to grow and thrive since then finding homes for thousands of cats and dogs in North Texas.

The mission of H4P is to rescue and find permanent homes for dogs and cats while caring for them in a foster program with rescue based partners.

Our adoption process

By adopting a cat or dog, you're giving a homeless animal a chance at a loving home and a brighter future. Your decision not only saves the life of the pet you welcome into your family but also opens up a spot for another precious life to be rescued. Our adoption process ensures our fosters are placed in the right homes for forever love.
