Roni Seely

VP of Dogs

Roni is pictured with Libby, one of many mama dogs with puppies that H4P has rescued over the years. Spaying and neutering is so very important to prevent unwanted litters and overcrowding in municipal shelters. Happily, Libby and all of her puppies found fantastic homes! Roni began volunteering in 1998 with SPCA of Texas where she learned about shelter life, animal care, fostering, and adoption counseling. She trained and mentored new volunteers, photographed pets for the website and found her passion and purpose, earning volunteer of the year and other awards while there. In 2006, Roni had a unique opportunity to co-found another rescue organization where she served as Director of Operations. Roni supervised and managed the shelter, overseeing the rescue and adoption of over 1,250 dogs and cats in just four years. In 2010, a renewed rescue vision gave Roni the opportunity to found and grow Habitat 4 Paws, an organization dedicated to responsible care of its animals and their placement into forever homes. The love and passion for animals is what keeps her going no matter what obstacles may come in her way! Professionally, Roni worked as a legal assistant for 27 years combined with 17 years of shelter and rescue work. She is currently an underwriting assistant for SureTec Insurance Company.

Anne McCausland

VP of Cats

Anne grew-up with cats and is a life-long lover of felines. She and her husband Jim have always had cats as a part of their family since they’ve been married. They currently have two male cats: Twister, an 11-year-old black kitty who came from a hoarding situation and was adopted from the SPCA; and Charlie, a handsome 4-year-old black and white boy who was living outside in a trailer park and was adopted through Habitat 4 Paws. Charlie is the official foster ambassador of the household as he wants to be friends with every kitten/cat that enters the McCausland household. Several of Anne’s friends were fosters and a mutual friend was a foster with Habitat 4 Paws. She and Jim decided in December 2017 to become cat fosters with H4P. Fostering is truly a family affair as everyone is on-board and supportive of rescuing cats in need. In addition to fostering, Anne and Jim also volunteer at the cat room at the local PetSmart which is managed by H4P volunteers and at H4P adoption events. Anne finds fostering as one of her most rewarding and important commitments Anne graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Entrepreneurship/Marketing and received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Collin College. She currently manages a commercial property in Grapevine. In addition to fostering, Anne is a former Frisco ISD school board member and is involved with numerous other community/volunteer organizations.

Nicki Snyder

Director of Marketing

Nicki has always been an animal lover even when she was young and had family pets. She started to become really fond of cats after high school when she had her first apartment and got her first cat. This is where she learned the absolute joy a pet can bring someone. She got her first cat Bella then and since just continued to add to her cat family, today with Charlie, Dak and Azula also! Nicki learned about Habitat 4 Paws when she adopted her cat Charlie from them a few years back! Charlie was a bit younger than she was used to, so she decided Charlie could use some playmates and so she began fostering. It only took her first foster for her to realize how much she loved helping a shelter cat get well and into the perfect forever home so they could finally experience love. Nicki has her Bachelors in Media, Arts and Animation from the Art Institute of Colorado and has always been into design and creativity. She worked a lot of her career in Marketing and Design for e-commerce in the tech space before transitioning into the product experience. Today she is the Head of Product Design for a SaaS company specializing in Email API, Marketing and Deliverability tools. In her spare time she is a big video game enthusiast, Netflix documentary fan and addicted to building complex lego sets! And of course, she can always be found hanging out with her 4 wonderful cats and all of their foster friends!

Tammi Tysell

Secretary & Events Coordinator

One of Tammi’s earliest memories in South Texas is sitting under the Christmas tree holding kitty Mott while watching her kittens attack the low hanging ornaments. Tammi has not been without a cat or three in her life since then. Despite husband Ken’s allergies, they currently share their home with Gigi and Buster. Gigi is nearly toothless due to an autoimmune disorder but is the cuddliest old lady. Big boy, mischievous Buster is a foster-fail acquired during the pandemic. Buster has proven to be the best foster kitten ambassador! The household also includes Sally, a mid-size mixed breed rescue pupper who does not enjoy the attentions of the cats. Tammi was recruited into the H4P family in 2018 by fellow Board member Anne McCausland with the arrival of a beautiful Siamese mix named Yumi. Since then, Tammi and family have fostered upwards of 25 kitties with more in the future. It is so rewarding to see these kitties go from bedraggled to beautiful and placed in their forever homes. When not cleaning litter pans, Tammi keeps up with all the activities of two teens and has served on her neighborhood HOA Board of Directors for several years. A retired clinical pharmacist, Tammi holds a B.S. Pharmacy and Pharmacy Doctorate.

Melody Soto

Treasurer

Melody began volunteering with Habitat 4 Paws in 2024 after adopting an adult cat, Linus. She was immediately drawn H4P’s volunteers, their adopting and fostering process, and how well the network of fosters knows the pets. Linus needed a playful friend, so the family added a Dachshund puppy, Snickers, to the family and the two get their zoomies out together every dusk and dawn. Melody remembers volunteering at shelters her whole life in her home state of Wisconsin. As a child, her mother would take her there to play with the adoptable cats which led to her taking her own daughter there to help entertain animals waiting for their forever homes. Melody and her youngest daughter enjoy attending pet adoption events with H4P and helping wherever they can. Professionally, Melody has a BA in accounting and an MBA and has worked in government accounting full time for nearly 20 years.
